Otherwise, I tend to use a more budget-friendly option, such as a summer harvest matcha, which I found to be better than most culinary matcha powders. If you want to add sweetener to your iced matcha latte, use a liquid sweetener for the best results. Maple syrup works well or honey if you’re not vegan. You can also use a simple syrup. If you have a strong blender, you can also use dates.
This blender method is for those who don’t have a matcha whisk and bowl. It’s not the traditional way to prepare matcha. If you have a matcha whisk and bowl, I do recommend using them. This iced matcha latte uses this method if you want to learn more.
You can adjust the amount of matcha used in this recipe. I found that 1 1/2 teaspoon was perfect to my taste. The taste of matcha isn’t overpowering, but you still get some of its flavor. If you don’t like a strong matcha taste, you could go for 1 teaspoon. If you want more, 2 teaspoons could be best for you.
Turn it into a strawberry matcha latte: Add a spoonful of strawberry jam to taste and blend it all together.
Finally, I made this latte using my Vitamix blender. This recipe would still work with a weaker blender, as long as you use a liquid sweetener. If you use dates, you’ll need a powerful blender to avoid getting any chunks.
