Notes
Sweetener: This latte works best with a liquid sweetener, such as maple syrup. I also tried it with a Medjool date and it worked well. You will need a strong blender for this and there may be a few very small pieces of dates at the bottom. For the best result, I recommend a liquid sweetener. If using oat milk or sweetened plant-based milks, you may not need to add sweetener. Milk: Oat milk is my go-to for matcha lattes. It adds a light sweetness and pairs wonderfully with matcha. I also enjoy soy milk for more protein or a combination or oat and soy milk. Feel free to use your favorite plant-based milk in matcha. You could use sweetened milk to skip the sweetener. If using vanilla-flavored milk, you could skip the vanilla extract if preferred.Matcha: Use ceremonial matcha for the best results. Feel free to add more matcha if you enjoy a stronger latte.
