As I’m writing my August coffee break post, I’m sitting in my home office for the last time in 2019. We’re leaving for Calgary tomorrow morning, where we’ll take our flight to Moncton next week. It’s all starting to feel so real.
August has been another busy month as we prepared to leave for our 4 month trip to Moncton and then Europe. I’ve been finishing up my eBook and of course cleaning up the apartment and packing for our trip. We’ll be back in January, but it feels so far away! See you in 2020, British Columbia!
Today’s coffee break post will be short and sweet. Most of my life has been revolving around the wedding, work and our trip, so there’s not much to say this month. I do have a few exciting things to share though, so let’s get to it! Grab your favorite beverage (I’m sipping on a black English Breakfast tea) and make yourself comfortable.
Wedding Things
I feel like I’ve been talking about our wedding for years. Well, almost 2 years to be exact. We took two years to plan our wedding, on purpose. Now we’re in the last month leading up to the big day. Soon I’ll stop talking about wedding stuff, but right now, whether I like it or not, it’s a big part of my life.
- Engagement Photos: We recently got back our engagement photos and I can’t stop looking at them. I’m so happy with how they turned out! I’ll share them all on the blog next week, I promise.
- Wedding Diet: Curious about what I’m eating up to the big day? You can find out in this post! Spoiler: No, it’s not an actual diet.
We Got an Office!
Guys, I’m SO excited to say that I finally have an office in Kelowna as of January! I’ll share more as January approaches, but this will be my space to meet my clients and to work on all things Nourished by Caroline and Unsweetened Caroline (except for recipe testing of course, which will still be done at home). It’s a beautiful brand new building on the water in downtown Kelowna and it’s perfect. I can’t wait to show you guys!

In case you missed it, you can now get a digital copy of my eBook Cooking With Legumes here.
Back to School Recipes
It’s that time of year already! I shared a list of my favorite back to school recipes on the blog last summer. You can find it here. I would also add this avocado hummus sandwich.

And I’ll finish with this quote I found on Pinterest: “You’re busy doubting yourself, while some people are intimidated by your potential.” Not sure what the source is, but I love it.
Have a great Labour Day Weekend!
