Hi and welcome! My name is Caroline, and I am a Registered Dietitian with the College of Dietitians of British Columbia. I focus on digestive health, chronic disease management, and plant-based nutrition. I also have experience and training in a variety of other areas, including disordered eating, intuitive eating, and anti-inflammatory nutrition.
I completed my dietetics degree with the University of Moncton and have since worked as a clinical dietitian at the Saint John Regional Hospital in New Brunswick, and the Vernon Jubilee Hospital in the Okanagan, primarily in diabetes, oncology, cardiology, and gastroenterology. I also completed additional training in the management of IBS and chronic constipation, as well as training courses on eating disorder treatment. I’m in the process of completing the FODMAP course from Monash University to best support those living with IBS.
Since 2019, I have been working in private practice, where I specialize in gut health and plant-based nutrition. I also bring my past clinical experience in my practice to offer nutrition support for the prevention and management of chronic diseases. I love helping others adopt new habits and develop meal planning strategies that work for their own budget, lifestyle, and health goals.
In my practice, I use a weight neutral and intuitive eating
approach to help people improve their relationship with food and their bodies. My goal is to offer you support through sustainable nutrition and lifestyle changes, while creating a safe, inclusive, and welcoming space. It would be my pleasure to guide you through evidence-based nutrition strategies and to explore the tools available to better support you through this journey. I’m also happy to assist you in either French or English.
Choose the initial assessment if this is your first time working with me.
Choose a 60 minute follow-up for ongoing support after your initial visit. This longer follow-up is ideal when you are just starting to work on your goals.
Choose this shorter follow-up if you want a quick check-in for ongoing support or have a few questions you would like answered.
This assessment is for those who want to work with a dietitian as a group (family or couple). Choose this option if this is your first visit with me.
This is for couples and families who are looking for ongoing support after an initial assessment.
See if we would be a good match. We will review your goals and determine if I can help you with your specific concerns.
All services are currently virtual, through video or phone appointments. If you’re located in Vancouver, you can work with me in person at CAYA Health Centre.
Yes! I offer virtual consultations to clients across British Columbia, New Brunswick Newfoundland and Labrador, and Nova Scotia.
Appointments and payments are done through Jane App. You will be asked to complete an intake form when booking an appointment, which will include credit card information. This will be used for payment at the end of the appointment. You will then receive a detailed receipt by email that you can submit to your insurance for reimbursement if you have dietitian coverage.
Your insurance may cover the cost of dietitian services. All major insurances in Canada should cover dietitian services, it is up to the organization to include it in their company plan. Call your insurance provider to review your policy.
If you don’t have dietitian coverage through your insurance, I recommend that you contact your HR department and ask for dietitian services to be covered. The more interest they receive, the more likely they’ll add it to their plan.
Yes, all eaters are welcome! I never pressure clients to eat plant-based. I have experience working in a variety of areas, including chronic disease management, digestive health, oncology, disordered eating, intuitive eating and more. If you have questions about my approach and experience with your specific concerns, I recommend booking a 15-minute discovery call to make sure that we would be a good fit.
