A delicious, nutritious and simple dessert to enjoy during the warmer months. These little cups can be easily customized with your favorite yogurt and fruits.

  • Oats: Rolled oats or quick oats.
  • Walnuts: You can also use cashews or pecans.
  • Vanilla: For flavor.
  • Salt: To balance the sweetness.
  • Yogurt: Use your favorite yogurt. Use plant-based yogurt to make this recipe vegan.
  • Fresh fruits: Use your favorite seasonal fresh fruits. Suggested options include raspberries, blueberries, blackberries, chopped cherries, peaches, strawberries, kiwi and more.

How to Make No-Bake Yogurt Fruit Cups:

Here are the steps to make yogurt fruit cups at home.

  1. Prepare the Cups

Add the Medjool dates, oats, walnuts, vanilla and salt to a food processor. Process until you get a crumbly mixture. Add water or melted coconut oil as needed. Process until the mixture sticks together when pressed. Divide the mixture into 9 regular muffin cups or liners. Press well to form little cups.

  2. For Serving

Fill the cups with a large spoonful of your favorite yogurt and fresh fruits of choice. Serve immediately.

Yogurt Fruit Cups FAQ:

Is This Recipe Gluten-Free?

To ensure that this recipe is entirely gluten-free, make sure to use certified gluten-free oats.

Is This Recipe Vegan?

I make this recipe using my favorite plant-based yogurt. Feel free to use your own favorite yogurt. I do recommend using thicker yogurts, such as Greek yogurt or plant-based Greek yogurt. One of my favorites is Maison Riviera oat-based yogurts. They have a Greek option, but I enjoy their oat vanilla the most, which still has a thicker consistency than their coconut yogurt.

Can I Prepare This Recipe in Advance?

I don’t recommend preparing the entire recipe in advance as the yogurt will add too much moisture to the cups after being stored for days. Instead, I recommend preparing the cups and storing them in an air-tight container in the fridge or freezer. Serve them with yogurt and fruit just before serving.

  • 1 1/2 cups rolled oats (130g)
  • 3/4 cup walnuts (75g)
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/8 teaspoon fine grain sea salt
  • Water or melted coconut oil, as needed

For Serving:

  • Yogurt of choice
  • Fresh fruits of choice

Instructions

  • Add the Medjool dates, oats, walnuts, vanilla and salt to a food processor. Process until you get a crumbly mixture. Add water or melted coconut oil, no more than 1 tablespoons at a time. Process until the mixture sticks together when pressed.
  • Divide the mixture into 9 regular muffin cups or liners. Press well to form little cups.
  • Before serving, fill the cups with a large spoonful of your favorite yogurt and fresh fruits of choice. Serve immediately.

Notes

I recommend using silicone muffin pans to make the cups easier to remove. I just used silicone muffin liners that I place in my muffin pan.
Suggested fruits: Raspberries, blueberries, blackberries, chopped cherries, peaches, strawberries, kiwi or other fruits of choice.
Suggested yogurts: I recommend choosing a thicker yogurt. This will make the cups easier to eat. My favorite is the Maison Riviera oat-based vanilla yogurt. Greek-style yogurts will also work well. You can choose sweetened or unsweetened yogurts, depending on your preference.
For Advance Prep: I don’t recommend filling the cups with yogurt until they’re ready to serve. If preparing this snack in advance, I recommend storing the empty cups in an airtight container in the fridge or freezer. Fill with yogurt and fruits when ready to serve.
Feel free to swap the walnuts for cashews or pecans. Almonds would work too, but the texture will be different. You can choose raw or dry-roasted, unsalted nuts.
