This creamy golden hummus is spiced with turmeric and cumin. Serve it with vegetables, pita, crackers or more for a nutritious snack. You can also top them with simple curried roasted chickpeas.

Ingredients
Golden Hummus
3cupschickpeas,canned
2mediumgarlic cloves
1/4 cuptahini
1/4cuplemon juice,about 1 lemon
1 tablespoonolive oil
1 1/2teaspoonground turmeric
1 teaspoonground cumin
1/2 teaspoonsalt,or more to taste
2tablespoonswater, as needed
Curried Roasted Chickpeas
1can (540ml/19oz)chickpeas
2teaspoonsolive oil
1 teaspooncurry powder
1/2 teaspoongaram masala
1/2teaspoongarlic powder
1/2teaspoonsalt
Instructions
Prepare the roasted chickpeas
Preheat oven to 400ºF.
In a medium bowl, mix the curry powder, garam masala, garlic powder and salt.
Stir the chickpeas and olive oil with the spices until well coated.
Spread on a baking sheet and bake for 35-40 minutes or until crispy and golden.
Make the golden hummus
While the chickpeas are roasting, make the hummus. Add the chickpeas, garlic, tahini, lemon juice, water and olive oil to a food processor and process until smooth.
Add the turmeric, cumin and salt and process until it turns a bright yellow color. Add more water if the hummus is too dry.
Serve with roasted chickpeas, parsley and crushed red pepper. (optional)

Keep in the fridge in an airtight container for 3-5 days.
